Every dog owner has times where they look to their side and no matter what’s happening, their dog is with them. Waking up at 2am unable to fall back asleep. The new apartment you just moved into. The morning after everything your first child was born. The morning you started your new job. The Tuesday where nothing happened at all.

They don't ask what kind of day it's been or what’s going on. They don't need it explained. They just stay close.

We think we're the ones taking care of them — feeding them, training them, giving them a home. More often than not, it’s actually them taking care of us.
